Super Junior‘s Sungmin, Girls’ Generation‘s Jessica and f(x)‘sLuna were all guests on tvN‘s latest episode of “Taxi“. The three talked about their SM Entertainmenttrainee days.
During the show, Sungmin revealed a surprising fact: Super Junior’s Sungmin, Eunhyuk and JYJ‘s Junsuwere supposed to debut together as a three member group.
“Before Super Junior debuted, there were plans for Eunhyuk, Junsu, and I to debut as a trio. However, Junsu was selected as a member of TVXQ, so it didn’t happen. At the time, I felt like my dreams were crushed in a matter of seconds, and I quit training and rested for a year. I was 19 years old at the time and my young heart suffered a huge loss,” he stated.
This is not the first time SM Entertainment has shifted potential groups around. Originally, Super Junior’s Kangin, Heechul, TVXQ’s Yunho and JYJ’sJaejoong were supposed to debut together as the group Four Seasons.
